Aftercare for natural nails

Your appointment at the salon begins with a consultation to discuss the needs of your nails before being manicured and ends with advice for taking care of them at home.

We use a breathable nail lacquer system that creates polymer gaps in the polish to allow the nails to breathe and receive nutrients.

Victoria will offer to rebook you in for a fresh manicure in the next 7-10 days.

Here are our top five tips for keeping your new nail polish manicure looking perfect between appointments:

• Plan your day to allow being extra careful for a couple of hours post-appointment to avoid making dents and marks in your fresh polish.
  
  
• Apply a fresh layer of topcoat to your manicure every other day after your appointment at the salon.  Ask for a bottle of the topcoat we use before you leave the salon.
  
  
• Massage in cuticle oil a few times a day to both your cuticles and underneath the free edge of your fingernail.  Ask for a bottle of cuticle oil at the end of your appointment.
  
  
• Gently push your cuticles back when they are soft after a shower so they wont attach to the nail as it grows out and cause tight skin that cracks or splits.
